CAMP-er-VAN IS A TRANSPORTABLE QUEER PERFORMANCE AND COMMUNITY SPACE
Since 2008, 25% of London's queer spaces have been forced to close their doors as a result of Austerity, Assimilation and Apps.
AS A RESPONSE TO THIS WIDESPREAD CLOSURE EPIDEMIC, THE CAMP-ER-VAN WAS DESIGNED around 3 principles; Entertainment, Diversity and Social Support, common features of aLl LGBTQ+ venues.
UNIQLO TATE LATE
Most recently, the CAMPerVAN was invited to be part of the monthly Tate Late event at Tate Modern.
3.5 HOURS OF QUEER PERFORMANCE AND DISCUSSION INCLUDED EVERYTHING FROM DRAG TO POETRY, LGBTQ MENTAL HEALTH ANALYSIS AND A NEW VIEW ON EMERGING QUEER SPACES.
THE CAmpervan is now a regular participant at the annual peckham festival.

Purchased on 21st March 2016, the CAMPerVAN took two months to construct. design decisions were inspired by documentary research into london's queer clubs. this analysis revealed that all queer spaces are appropriated existing venues that provide a stage and are adaptable to be used for socialisation, entertainment and community workshop.
